Identity and Cultural Diversity - German
Schwarzfahrer
A young black man is verbally harassed by an older woman on a tram, while the other passengers remain silent. He finally extracts his revenge. Beautiful cinematography, good subject matter, great characters with a surprising ending. Your pupils will not understand all the language, but the meaning comes through very clearly. Use this as a discussion stimulus about attitudes towards race and stereotypes, and compare these in Germany and the UK.
