Community Participation - Spanish
Unicef Spanish site for children
There is a selection of little cartoons based on a character called Lunicef, called ‘Las aventuras de Lunicef’ in association with the Spanish TV channel RTVE. His mission is for all children to know their right and that they are defended and protected. These cartoons can be watched directly online, either as a whole class activity or individually in a computer suite, as long as pupils have headsets.
Video 1 is an introduction to Lunicef, el superheroe.
Video 2 is about freedom of expression
Video 4 is about lack of water
Video 11 is about education.
Video 12 is about child labour (listen for key words: dinero, patatas fritas, que haras?) which article from the UN Convention on Human Rights is quoted and what does it say?
The two songs ‘Dame tu mano’ and ‘Por un mundo mejor’. Download the full lyrics and a gapfill activity here for the song ‘Dame tu mano’. It has a catchy tune and video that kids will enjoy. (attach docs ‘Dame tu mano lyrics’ and ‘Dame tu mano’ gapfill here)
